64 bit Storm

Well, finally we are starting to see 64 bit apps from Autodesk hit the ground running. Currently Max 9 and Maya 8 are shipping with both 32 and 64 bit versions on the same disk for installation. There has been a ton of independant sites doing write ups on these apps and how they will be working towards the future of 3D graphics workflow. Normally most people wait for a little while prior to installing a new version of software. Don't wait this time for Max and Maya. I myself have been rather excited about the new features and the stability of them delivered on a release that was not done at it's usual time. Here's some links I recommend checking out if you are at all into the world of 3D.

Shaan Hurleys blog has already rolled a number of links together which point to some great articles.

If you are going to read any of the links on Shaan's page, read this one as I found it to be the most informative. You can always check out product reviews, but this goes into great detail about the 64 bit uprising.

***EDIT***
Please keep in mind that 3D MAX 9 is only listed as being compatible with Windows XP 64 bit OS - NOT Vista.
